@TeXtip @paulgp Well, the algo’s guess at the “right” size. I sometimes find \left gives me bigger delimiters than I want. And for nested delimiters I sometimes want the outside set bigger than the inner sets, which isn’t default behavior of \left. Also, \bigl ⪼ \big for horizontal spacing.
