  1. Stanford econ solicits feedback from current and past PhD students on faculty. I’ve been asked for letters on junior reviews, tenure promotions, full promotions. There’s a clear avenue for sending feedback *outside* departmental channels. This isn’t universal. Shouldn’t it be?
