Learn from my mistakes: If a data set has different kinds of missing values coded e.g., -1 -2 -3 and you recode to .a .b .c, better to give them descriptive value labels (“Missing: Lost” “Missing: Imputed” “Missing: NA”) rather than just “-1” “-2” “-3”.
