    @arpitrage Totally totally 100% agree that strategic response is a really worry. It’s just the “appropriate” (and “should” in OP) that seem tough without carefully specifying objective.

      @arpitrage E.g., if goal is simply prediction (price or value) today, and Zillow is prepared to adjust their algorithm in the future, the question isn’t whether buyers and sellers *may* respond strategically to the algorithm, it’s just how buyers and sellers actually *do* respond now.
