@arpitrage This is great but so not-necessary-for-Phoenix*. I can’t remember the last time I saw every cash register open at our grocery store—they manage congestion by staffing more/fewer cashiers. *Not necessary for congestion but may be possible as price-discrimination tool.

@arpitrage Oh man this makes me nostalgic for my consulting days, where supermarket/CPG economics turned out consistently to be so much more interesting than first glances suggested.
