      @DanielJHemel At least one other important distinction btwn legacy pref/building donations vs. sailing coach bribes (you actually get at in your Crimson piece): Former more public, so students admitted that way are somewhat tainted by presumption their admission not entirely meritocratic 1/2

    @DanielJHemel I think this tax (via ego and outsiders’ assumptions) is useful. Looks like the cheaters/bribers avoided paying this by keeping their shenanigans secret EVEN FROM THEIR KIDS! 2/2
