    Lots of discussion last week noted that “side-door” bribes (unlike “back-door” donations) go to the coach rather than the school. But I had no idea coaches were this encouraged to be recruiting for fund raising, not just athletics! 2/4

      It looks like well-intentioned mandates to equalize resources between men’s and women’s sports can create room to “hide” extra recruits on women’s teams. 3/4

        And of course, spots (especially in “non-revenue” sports) go disproportionately to advantaged applicants, even when there’s no fundraising (or outright bribery) going on.😢 4/4
