@JakeVigdor @ryanbedwards @TDeryugina @CTBergstrom I think ∃ many “top” finance people who send their best papers to JF/RFS/JFE before ever trying a top 5 econ journal (and hence many of those authors have no econ top 5 pubs). May partly be perceived prestige of these journals within finance, but also their fast review processes
