@martincschmalz This article is FASCINATING but I’m not sure I understand the argument you propose. The teachers and firemen are presumably in pensions and the retirees in IRAs/401ks that wouldn’t pay the avoided cap gains taxes anyway, right? So the effect on them is only the ricardian tax one.On twitter.com
