@nihilistspicer @_bbdaniels @nomadj1s I think this behavior on Stata’s part is bending some folks’ minds (and it’s easy to make mistakes with this) is NOT only because many think of macros as if variables—which they’re not—but also because order-of-operations precedence of unity negation is ambiguous!
