@EmilyNix100 @paulgp If “best” papers don’t necessarily go to the QJE first, direct effects on quality distribution of what gets sent there, but also 2nd-order through inference that relevant researchers are likely to have about the quality of papers that are in QJE (or would be if there were any)?
