    @arpitrage Agreed (though there are lots of plausible connections from Haneda). New speculation: Competition on the air routes (cf. JR monopoly) makes flying cheaper. Don’t know how much faster HSR could/would have to get to compete without closing the price gap. tokyocheapo.com/travel/transport/cheap-domestic-flights-tokyo/
