    1. My version of this: Exams are pre-labeled with a random* seat number for each student. When students enter the room, seating chart is projected on the board. I have a record of no-shows, and it’s easy to sort my spreadsheet by seat number for data entry. @johnjhorton/1218920743511240704

    * I override randomization—without announcement—when there are (1) particular students about whom I have cheating concerns → front row or (2) any student’s advance request to sit somewhere particular, typically anxiety/PTSD-related → back row
