@a_presbitero Disney released DVD/Blu-ray early to capture high-WTP customers. To do so successfully, they had to threaten not to stream the movie for X months. It’s a repeated game but now they have an excuse to break a promise that would be time-inconsistent in the one shot game?

@a_presbitero Coronavirus has given kids higher bargaining power vs. parents? That plus Frozen II are enough to tip marginal Disney Plus subscriptions much more than Frozen II would have been by itself?

@a_presbitero Last week, you could either stream FII for $6 or buy for $20 (Blueray or download). Kids home from school makes repeat viewing likely so people would buy rather than stream. Substitution to full Disney Plus membership, with recurring revenue, may be preferable?
