@johnjhorton @johnjhorton The key variables for sound quality with vocal mics are - Mic quality (≈ price) - Room acoustics - Distance from your mouth dSQ/dMQ > 0 dSQ/dRA > 0 dSQ>dD < 0 but all three second derivatives are negative. Cross-derivative signs left as exercise to the reader.
