Still haven’t gotten around to writing my long-planned “how to tweet” megathread, but here’s one of my rules: If a friend QTs something that makes me want to write my own QT of it, I always try to include a “hat tip” to the friend.       It’s basically always the right thing to do, but *especially* important when h/t is to someone (unlike @ben_golub) whose Twitter audience is - Smaller than mine, or - Largely nonintersecting with mine. It’s fine to “steal” a friend’s QT, but 🙏give them credit and amplification!

        I wrote this without intending a subtweet of any of my high-profile followers who routinely “steal” my QTs without attribution, btw 😉
