@EmilyNix100 @causalinf @jasonmlindo Frustrating of course, but I’m increasingly convinced by the “referees advise the editor” view (vs “referees vote”). Easy to image refs recommend R&R in letters/reports that nevertheless convince ed to reject (ie she couldn’t have desk rejected wo learning from the reports)
