  1. We’re now more than a month into roughly stable daily COVID–19 deaths in the US. (Yesterday’s daily death number was first crossed a month earlier on 4/7.) Be cautious about daily numbers—and especially extrapolation that ignores day-of-week effects (~72% higher on Wed vs. Sun).
