@ShengwuLi @JonathanColmer (Takes can of worms down off shelf and assumes a can opener) Unfortunately, doing OBS→Zoom on a single computer is fundamentally a hack. Best I can tell, the *conventional* way is just to put your audio straight into Zoom and hope the sync issues aren’t too bad. 1/

@ShengwuLi @JonathanColmer OBS doesn’t actually offer true audio out (just audio monitoring), so it’s hacking that into Zoom input. @EmilyNix100 is using desktop audio capture. @JonathanColmer is using VirtualCables. I’ve used iShowU. I’ve seen Audio Hijack ($$) recommended, too. 2/ @lukestein/1284188653351317504

@ShengwuLi @JonathanColmer @EmilyNix100 I’ve just started experimenting with it, but I’m guessing that @NewTekInc’s NDI virtual input is going to be the winner. It’s free, and now available for Mac and PC. Unlike the traditional virtualcamera (which it would replace!), NDI supports audio *and* video. See demo below. 3/ @lukestein/1299698640877912065

@ShengwuLi @JonathanColmer @EmilyNix100 @NewTekInc Unfortunately, and frustratingly, @Webex—which Babson uses instead of @zoom_us—doesn’t support *any* virtual cameras. (Zoom shut down access for a few months earlier this year but it’s now back.) 4/

@ShengwuLi @JonathanColmer @EmilyNix100 @NewTekInc @Webex @zoom_us So I think choices are 1. A bulletproof system (that supports Webex) that uses two computers and a capture card $$ 2. Audio straight into Zoom, video via virtualcam, and hoping sync isn’t too distracting 3. Audio using one of the hacky solutions above, video via virtualcam 5/

@ShengwuLi @JonathanColmer @EmilyNix100 @NewTekInc @Webex @zoom_us 4. Audio and video using NewTek HDI I’ve been transitioning from #2 to #1 but for anyone unhappy with #2, I think #4 has great potential from my preliminary trials. @ShengwuLi @JonathanColmer @EmilyNix100 @NewTekInc @Webex @zoom_us By the way, if anyone wants to explore further and report back, here's how I have NDI virtual camera set up @lukestein/1299761098753744896 7/6
