    @mpelli3 @ShengwuLi @EmilyNix100 Oh recording? That one’s much more straightforward than streaming/virtual cam since hard drive space is cheap. I generally record at 1080p mkv files to archive, and then use Handbrake to make smaller mp4s to upload. (cc: @JonathanColmer who’s my guru on this stuff)

      @mpelli3 @ShengwuLi @EmilyNix100 @JonathanColmer For quick, one-offs, I record direct to mp4 at 720p. (Note you can set up multiple “profiles” in OBS, so switching is then trivial.) This saves the (easy) step of converting in Handbrake, but note the second OBS warning in orange: if computer crashes, you’re f’ed.
