    @cjwich I have a Samson Q2U (which have sadly gotten hard to find). Not sure what you bought, but many “nice” mics are nice largely because they’re very sensitive, which came make it tough to avoid feedback (or “room noise”).

      @cjwich My generic suggestion for avoiding feedback would be to • get mic quite close to your mouth (so you can turn its gain way down; a $15 mic boom is great), and • put your speakers off-axis (assuming you’re using a directional—typically a *cardioid—mic)
