@cabralestweet Yes. But. (1) tbc this was absolutely a joke. (2) Agreed on general principle, but rules of thumb don’t necessarily tell you anyone’s state-specific marginal utility of consump. (eg, I wouldn’t buy life insurance policies on my kids even if slightly cheaper than actuarially fair)
