@bwaber @BitsyPerlman @arpitrage The one time my bike (then a mamachari w a typical Japanese frame lock) disappeared in Japan, I was told they were usually taken by someone racing to the central station to make the last train. Lo and behold I found it abandoned a few miles away outside the station.
